LongHorn Steakhouse Parmesan Crusted Chicken
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
For the Parmesan Crust:
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons butter, melted 🧈
1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella for a milder taste) 🧀
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish 🌿
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Remove from heat but keep the chicken in the skillet.
Prepare the Parmesan Crust:
In a small bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter until well-mixed.
Assemble the Parmesan Chicken:
Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese evenly over each chicken breast in the skillet. Top each piece with a generous spoonful of the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, pressing it down slightly.
