I use sage to solve all these problems, and life smiles at me.
Let’s start with a historical fact: our grandmothers rubbed the leaves on their teeth not only to whiten them, but also to perfume their breath. That’s the key word, perfume!
That’s why sage is very useful for deodorizing the kitchen after preparing luxurious banquets based on fish, onions, cabbage, juggern and anything else that gives off a not-so-pleasant but persistent smell.
How to proceed? It’s as simple as that. Just boil a pot of water and add 4 infused sage leaves . Turn off the gas and let them soak until the water cools down. You can add a teaspoon of baking soda to speed up the process of delivering the perfume.
This method allows us to make the atmosphere of the house fresh regardless of what we prepare for dinner or lunch, let’s adopt it, once a week to enjoy the fresh air.
We can also dry sage, even better if it is braided with rosemary , and then use it as incense to deodorize the rooms.
In addition, this wonderful plant protects us from unpleasant presences: mosquitoes, gnats, but also ants and cockroaches cannot stand its smell. Just place a vase in front of the windows to spend a summer without uninvited guests.
Finally, it is prodigious against humidity. In the bathroom, for example, a jar of sage can attract water vapor like a magnet and delay the formation of mold.
