In a container filled with hot water, dissolve the soda crystals and mix. Soak a sponge in this liquid and scrub the stained areas of the mattress. Then rinse with a glove moistened with water. Let it air dry and find a clean mattress.
Dishwashing Liquid: This is a formidable trick against mattress stains, especially if they are recent. Mix hot water with dishwashing liquid and clean the mattress with a sponge soaked in this liquid. Let it dry in the sun if possible for a few hours. Your mattress will be clean, tidy, and odorless.
White Vinegar: Also known as household alcohol, white vinegar is a very useful cleaning product in the home. For cleaning mattress stains, this stain remover can be your best ally.
For this, you’ll need:
500ml of white vinegar
200 ml of warm water
2 tablespoons of dishwashing liquid
Mix the ingredients, soak a clean sponge in this liquid and wring it out before scrubbing the entire surface of the mattress. Then rinse with another moistened and wrung-out sponge. Finish the cleaning by rubbing the mattress with a dry or microfiber cloth to absorb as much moisture as possible and let the mattress dry in the sun if possible.
Baking Soda: Baking soda is the solution for urine stains and odors. Simply sprinkle the white powder on the area to be cleaned and let it act for at least 30 minutes. Then scrub the area with a sponge soaked in soapy water and rinse with a damp cloth to complete the cleaning. Let it dry with the bedroom window open for ventilation. To get rid of dust mites, sprinkle baking soda over the entire mattress surface and let it act for a few hours before vacuuming it off. Your mattress will be free from parasites that can cause allergies.
Hydrogen Peroxide: Also known as peroxide, this product is effective even against the oldest mold stains.
